Okay, so, I’m just thinking about that game we had against Everton. Honestly, what a day for us. We finally got our first win away from home, and it was a big one, like 4-1. It felt really good.

Malick Thiaw, he scored two of the goals himself, which is just amazing for him. And then Lewis Miley got one, and so did Nick Woltemade. The whole thing just kind of clicked for us, you know? From the very start, it was like we were in control. Thiaw scored so fast, I barely had time to sit down. It was like a minute in, from a corner. Just the best way to start.

Eddie Howe, our manager, he said we came out with real intent. I think that’s true. An early goal like that just settles everyone’s nerves. Then Miley, he’s been so good lately, he scores this shot that sort of bounced and went in. And right before half-time, Woltemade does this lovely little lob. We were all just so happy in the stands.

Everton had a little bit of a go in the second half. Their substitute hit the crossbar, which was a bit scary. But then Thiaw, he goes and scores again with his head. That really finished the game. They got one back, a consolation really, but it didn’t matter much in the end.

A former Everton player, Phil Jagielka, he was talking on TV and said we controlled it thoroughly. He mentioned it was a massive test for us with the busy week in Europe too. But it was a fantastic performance, just what we needed.

It was also Eddie Howe’s birthday, his 48th. What a present for him, right? And now we’re level on points with Everton in the table, but ahead of them because our goal difference is better. The atmosphere there was so loud, but our fans were definitely the loudest at the end.

Looking forward, we’ve got Tottenham at home next. That’s coming up really quick. Hopefully we can take this feeling into that game. Everton, they have to go to Bournemouth. Their fans will probably want to see a better reaction from them after that.

It was just one of those days where everything we did seem to work. The midfield was great, the defense was solid. It makes you feel really confident about what we might do for the rest of the season. Leaving the stadium, everyone was just in the best mood, celebrating a proper away win.

Yeah, and you know, it makes you think about how we’ve sometimes struggled to really put a performance together away from St James’ Park. Like, we’ve had the chances but not taken them, or we’ve defended well but not scored. To finally do both in one game, and so convincingly, it just feels like a weight’s lifted. It shows the boys can do it.

I almost felt a bit for the Everton supporters, if I’m being honest. Seeing their team not really turn up on their own pitch. But from our view, it was perfect. Their manager must be having a real think about things after that. For us, it was just one of them days where every player in the black and white shirt was up for it from the first whistle to the last.

Now the big thing is, can we keep this going? Tottenham on Tuesday is a whole different challenge. They’re a top side. But momentum is a strange and powerful thing in football. This win, the way we did it, it has to give the whole squad so much belief. We just have to make sure we’re not getting ahead of ourselves and take each game as it comes, you know? But days like this, they’re what being a fan is all about.
