Spurs Suffer London Derby Defeat, What Went Wrong Against Fulham?

Wow, just got back from watching my team, and it’s not a good feeling. Spurs really needed this one, you know? Coming into the game with all them losses hanging over us, and then Fulham just comes out and scores two so early. It’s like, we weren’t even ready.

Honestly, the mood here is just so low. Hearing the boos at the end, it’s hard to argue with it. We’ve now lost four in a row at our own stadium, which feels almost impossible to believe. Even when Kudus managed to get a goal for us in the second half, it never really felt like an equalizer was coming. Their defenders, Adarabioyo and that Tim Ream, they just blocked everything.

Fulham’s manager, Marco Silva, he said they had to show character, and you could see it. Their start was what won it, I think. Tete and Wilson scoring within minutes of each other, it just killed the game before it even began. Their captain, Cairney, said they planned to pressure us early, and well, it worked perfectly.

From my view, our manager Thomas Frank is under big trouble now. Taking off a defender for an attacker when we’re still losing late on, it shows how desperate things are. A reporter near me said even a single point would feel precious, and he’s right. The way we’re playing at home lately is just not acceptable.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg said it after the match, we just weren’t good enough. It’s a simple thing but it’s true. We looked kind of disconnected, like we didn’t know what to do. Possession we had lots of, but doing something good with it was the problem.

For Fulham, this was a huge win, their first against us in a while. You could see what it meant to their fans. For us, the next game is against Man City, which is a scary thought. Something has to change, and fast, or this season is just going to keep getting worse.

It’s like the whole plan just falls apart sometimes. I look at our midfield, and players like Sarr and Maddison, they’re supposed to be creating things, but it just feels so slow. The ball moves from one side to the other, but there’s no real danger in it, no one seems willing to just try something different.

And another thing I noticed was our full-backs, Porro and Udogie, who usually are so important for us going forward. They were just completely pinned back by Fulham’s wingers from the first minute. It meant we had no width, no overlapping runs, it made our attack so narrow and easy for them to defend against. The tactics from the other team were just better than ours today.

Honestly, what happens next is the big question. The fans are losing patience, you can feel it. There’s only so many times you can hear the manager say we need to improve without actually seeing it on the pitch. It puts the whole club in a really difficult spot, wondering if a change is what’s needed, or if sticking with Frank is the right path. A really tough moment for everyone who cares about the club.
