From my view, what a surprise result for Manchester City, losing to Newcastle. Being that they were the favorites and all. Us watching saw Harvey Barnes really step up, him getting two goals was massive for them. I’m just thinking about how this really opens things up for Arsenal now, honestly.

The whole match felt like a massive blow for City’s hopes, if I’m being real. For Newcastle, it’s like a huge weight being lifted off, you can just tell. I personally loved seeing the fight in them, it was so different from their recent games.

Barnes himself said it was massive for them, which it totally was. Them being in a tough spot recently makes this win feel even bigger, you know? To get a result like that against City is a real statement of intent from the Magpies, I feel.

There was a lot of drama, the kind that keeps you on the edge of your seat. City, they just couldn’t find a way through at first. Then Dias scored for them, but it wasn’t enough in the end from my point of view.

Some of the refereeing decisions, wow, they were something else. That Schar challenge and then the Guimaraes header leading to the winner, it all felt a bit controversial to me. Guardiola seemed really frustrated afterwards, but he was trying to be diplomatic about it, I guess.

Haaland and Pope had their own battle going, that was interesting to watch. And the atmosphere in the stadium, it was just electric from start to finish. Me and everyone else could feel the energy from the fans, it definitely helped Newcastle push through.

So now the table looks a bit different in my eyes. Newcastle must be feeling so much better about things. And for the title race, this is a real chance for Arsenal, but nothing is ever certain is it? Arteta says they’re just focused on their own game, which is probably the right call. This whole thing is far from over, from what I can see.

I heard one of their players saying the team’s spirit was what got them through it, which makes sense to me. The way everyone worked for each other, even when City had the ball, was really impressive from my perspective.

Looking at it from a tactical view, the press from Newcastle was just relentless. They never really gave City’s midfield a moment to settle on the ball, which was clearly part of the plan. It’s something other teams will probably try and copy now, I suppose.

You could see what it meant to everyone at the final whistle, the relief was just palpable. A result like this can change the feeling around a whole club, in my opinion. It gives everyone something to really build upon for the rest of the season.

A pundit on the radio was saying it proves the Premier League’s unpredictability, which I have to agree with. On any given weekend, any team can beat another, that’s what makes it so exciting to follow for me.
